Summary: I enjoyed it.
I particularly liked how many of the minor characters have little moments of competence just after the bus stops, like a couple of people knowing how Faraday cages work (the boy, not just Christina), and the guy with a little mechanics training, and stuff like that. So often The Doctor is cool and knows everything and does everything and everybody else just follows him around and watches/helps; here people were proactive.
The U.N.I.T. captain was great, and I like (whether or not I agree) that she made the tough decision and at least considered forcing the issue before she was conveniently relieved of the need to do so.
Christina rocks my world, and I'm disappointed we won't be seeing more of her. And, to quote
rm, "Jenny and the thief chick should have sex.".
The flying manta ray eating the two fly aliens so they could be written out of the script and we didn't have to deal with introducing them to the other characters or anything else long-term with them was a little too convenient for me.
Holy shit flying manta rays with metal exo-skeletons and spikes!
